Journey Overview

We want to share the true hope of Christ with people of all ages on Scotland's beautiful Outer Hebrides.

Under 18's are welcome to join with parental consent and accompanied by a responsible adult.

If you would like to travel to and from the Outer Hebrides directly and not join others in Perth, you will need to travel there on 5th August and depart on 12th August. Please ask your local OM office for more details.

You will be required to have a police background check for volunteering with children, which may cost an additional £15. Beware! Short term missions might severely impact and change the course of your life for the glory of the Lord. If that's what you're after, please proceed.
Also note that prices may be subject to change due to fluctuating exchange rates and that the advertised cost does not include your traveling costs.

Participant Profile

We need people who love Jesus, know His gospel, and want to share it with others. Team members should be energetic and friendly. The isles are bi-lingual with Scottish Gaelic and English. However, a good grasp of English will be sufficient for communication.

People who love working with children will be needed for the first team though prior experience is not essential. Please let us know if you definitely do not want to be involved in youth work.

This outreach is in a rural location with variable weather so be prepared to change plans if the weather does and be equipped for wet and dry.

Any volunteers with particular gifts, e.g. music, evangelistic/apologetic talks, art outreach, etc we will find opportunities to use them during the week if we are informed in advance. Volunteers may be asked to share their testimony, but no-one will be required to speak at a public event.
