Journey Overview

Maybe you have a special interest area you want to explore, or don't have the time to do a more formal programme or you simply want to serve God in a missions environment for a short time. Then VSP could be for you! We are ready to work with you to provide a tailor-made programme that meets your needs. Whether you want to expand your faith, see God work and discover missions, work with a local church in a diverse ethnic community or help with practical work, VSP will give you an opportunity to serve and to grow. As we go out we will meet people from different religious and non-religious backgrounds, providing opportunities to learn how to share the Gospel with people from across the world.

You can choose to be based at either of the following sites: LONDON is the largest city in Europe and one of the most multicultural cities in the world. There are people from almost every language and every tongue gathered in one place, which makes the city a great place for evangelism. Our focus is specifically on reaching out to Muslims and you will have the opportunity to be trained by people with this experience. HALESOWEN TRAINING CENTRE has been a place of outreach and learning for missions for the last 30 years. It is set in a rural English town in the heart of the country, but is also on the outskirts of Birmingham, the UK's second city. Only a few miles from the base you will find yourself in another world, a mixture of urban wealth and poverty with a bewildering range of nationalities and cultures. A few miles the other way lies the Black Country, England's historic industrial heartland. Our focus is on training and cross-cultural urban evangelism. PARTICIPANTS: If you have a specific gifting such as music, dance, art, or sports please let us know when you apply. You can have a good level of spoken English (will be assessed), or be willing to have language lessons. You must have a desire and openness to allow God to work in your life, a willingness to work and live as part of a team, and an openness to people of other faiths and cultures. No previous experience in ministry is required. Beware! Short term missions might severely impact and change the course of your life for the glory of the Lord. If that's what you're after, please proceed. Also note that prices may be subject to change due to fluctuating exchange rates and that the advertised cost does not include your traveling costs.
